Selling a used DJI Mini or Flip drone in Bangkok

A drone is the one gadget where a step you take in an app before the meeting matters as much as the condition of the thing itself. Start with that.

Drones you can price on the site today

Our drone list is the sub-250 g DJI range: Mini 4 Pro · Mini 4 Pro Fly More Combo · Mini 3 · Mini 3 Fly More Combo · Flip Fly More Combo. Pick the plain listing if you have the aircraft and one battery, and the Fly More Combo listing if you have the extra batteries, charging hub and bag that came with the combo.

Other DJI models, Air and Mavic bodies and older Minis are not on the list. Send a photo and the model name on LINE and we will tell you plainly whether we can price it. DJI Osmo Action and Pocket cameras are covered in selling a used GoPro, DJI or Insta360 in Bangkok.

1. Unbind the drone from your DJI account

A DJI aircraft is tied to the account that activated it. Before the meeting, open the DJI Fly app with the drone connected, go to your profile and device management, and remove the aircraft from your account. A drone still bound to a previous owner cannot be set up by the next one, and it is the first thing we check. If you have forgotten your DJI login, recover it before you book, not at the meeting.

2. The Thai registration is yours, not the drone's

In Thailand a drone with a camera is registered to its owner with the NBTC, and with the CAAT depending on the weight and the use. That registration does not transfer by itself when the drone is sold. Ask the authority you registered with how to cancel or transfer it; we cannot do that for you, and we do not fly the drone at the pickup.

3. Batteries: cycles, swelling and the hub

In the DJI Fly app, each battery shows its charge cycles; note them. Look at every battery for swelling: a puffy battery or one that no longer clicks in cleanly should not be used and should be mentioned. Bring the charging hub and the cable. The Fly More Combo listing assumes the batteries that came with the combo are included.

4. Gimbal and camera

Take the gimbal cover off, power on, and watch the gimbal run through its start-up. It should move and settle without shaking, grinding or an error message on the screen. Look closely at the lens for scratches, and at the arms of the gimbal for cracks. Put the gimbal cover back on; it is a small part that is often lost, and bring it.

5. Propellers, arms and motors

Unfold each arm; the hinges should be firm, not loose. Spin each motor by hand; it should turn freely without a scraping sound. Check the propellers for chips and bring the spare set if you have it. If the drone has been in a crash, say so and describe what was replaced - a repaired drone can still be sold, an undisclosed crash means a re-quote at the pickup check.

6. Remote controller and what is in the bag

Say which controller you have - the RC-N series that holds a phone, or the RC 2 with its own screen - and bring the phone cables and the charger. Bags, ND filters, extra propellers and the box all belong with the drone.

Before the meeting

Charge the aircraft and controller, remove the microSD card, unbind the drone as above and sign out of the app on the controller. Then pick your model above, or see all drone prices. Bring your Thai ID or passport; we record who each drone was bought from, like any camera.

Quick answers

Unbind it first. In the DJI Fly app, connect the drone, open your profile and device management, and remove the aircraft. A drone still tied to your account cannot be set up by the next owner, and it is the first thing we check at the pickup.
Pick the plain Mini 3 listing, for the aircraft, one battery and the controller. The Fly More Combo listing assumes the extra batteries, charging hub and bag are included.
No. The registration with the NBTC or CAAT is in your name and only you can cancel or transfer it. Ask the authority you registered with before the sale. We do not fly the drone at the pickup.
